Some History

Looking back at past times...

In 1928 Anton and Kreszenzia Seiwald and their son Hans left their native South Tyrol and moved to Garmisch. Finding a new home in the “Haus Bellevue“, they set up the Hotel “Garmischer Hof“.
The hotel soon prospered – thanks to dedication, effort, creativity, and the successful execution of innovative ideas.

Sporting events, artists, lavish social events such as the ice-skating galas und the Winter Olympics, elegant balls and enjoyable times were the standard in those days
